Country House in Repino Park
A country house for quiet people with a crazy twist
"An enveloping sofa, a wall-sized projector screen, a favourite film, a fluffy blanket, hugs and a hot ginger drink with cranberries and herbs. Stone, wood and a living fire — everything invites you to rest, but we added a little spice: pink agave-fibre chandeliers, juicy upholstery, bold Karelian granite. The owners are calm introverts, but inside they hide a real crazy spark that only their loved ones get to see. Their home gently hints at it..."

Country House in Repino Park
This project is about country life for people who are northerners at heart. Our clients are a family from Krasnodar who always felt closer to the Scandinavians. They moved to St. Petersburg, settled in the city and live in apartments, but they wanted a bit of country life — to be closer to their beloved Karelian Isthmus.

That's how a small and very charming house appeared in the Repino Park village in the Leningrad Region.

The owners love everything calm: natural wood, light walls, soft fabrics, the silence of the forest outside the window. But I wanted to add a little crazy idea — and bright pink lamps appeared in the house. They became the main hero of the interior, just like the family's character: behind calm and introversion hides a mischievous spark.

calm and a pinch of spice
living room, kitchen, bathrooms, hallway and bedroom
living room: living fire and the forest outside
The living room is the heart of the house. Its main hero is a corner wood-burning fireplace clad in a slab of stone with a lively pattern, with a long open log store beneath it. Fire, the smell of wood, a warm blanket and hot tea — that's what makes you want to escape to the country.

There's no TV here: films are watched on a projector from the soft sofa in a deep terracotta shade.

Light walls, a wooden floor, linen curtains and large windows with the forest right outside. Natural and calm — so the eye can rest and the pink chandeliers can sing at full volume.
kitchen and dining: pink chandeliers
The stars of the house are two fluffy neon-pink chandeliers above the dining table. They are the very spice I wanted to add to a calm Scandinavian interior: they set the mood instantly and show the owners' character.

Beneath them stand a wooden table and chairs with soft seats where the whole family gathers. The kitchen is right next to it: fronts with vertical wooden slats, light upper cabinets, a terrazzo splashback and a window above the sink looking out to the forest.

Everything else is deliberately quiet — wood, white walls, linen and a little greenery — so the pink can sound at full strength.
bathroom: wood, emerald and a portrait
This bathroom is my favourite in the house. The walls are warm wood, and around the tub and above the vanity runs deep emerald tile with a lively uneven surface that shimmers in the light like water in a forest lake.

The accent is a bright painted portrait right above the bath. It adds that very spice and echoes the pink chandeliers in the living room.

A black towel rail, a snow-white vessel basin, mirror lighting and a terracotta door pull the space into a complete, slightly cheeky picture.
second bathroom: terracotta polka dots
The second bathroom is the most cheerful in the house. White tiles with large terracotta polka dots, a deep terracotta wall and fine terrazzo on the floor and walls.

Wood takes care of the calm part: a vanity and shelves in warm veneer. A vessel basin, a brass flush plate and a small bright painting complete the look.

This is where the owners allow themselves to be a little crazy — and you want to pop in just for the mood.
hallway: protective hands and wooden waves
The house greets guests with a tall wardrobe in warm wood, its fronts scattered with dozens of ceramic hamsa hands. It's a good-luck charm and a real art wall you want to study.

Next to it is a lit niche with oval mirror panels and a soft olive bench. Wooden lamps that look like waves or bark float above the corridor, and at the end stands a console on massive wooden legs.

From the very entrance it's clear: the house is calm, natural — and full of character.
bedroom: the light version
We created two options for the bedroom. The first is light and airy: a wall in textured plaster of a warm beige shade, soft textiles and a headboard with no unnecessary details.

Above a log-slice bedside table hangs a lamp that looks like it's made of white pebbles — it gives soft diffused light. Next to it is a large forest landscape painting that continues the view through the panoramic door.

The second wall is covered in wallpaper with a green botanical pattern, and a chest of drawers with arched fronts and light shelves add cosiness. Calm, like a forest in the early morning.
bedroom: the deep version
The second version of the same bedroom is deep and intimate, like a forest cabin late at night. Solid wood beams on the ceiling, a wall of relief tiles with a graphic ornament and wallpaper with gold chinoiserie.

A chest of drawers with fronts of wooden bars, a dark veneer door and the same pair of heroes as in the light version: the "pebble" lamp and the forest landscape painting.

Two moods — one idea: natural textures, warm textiles and a view of the garden through the panoramic door.
